“Shringaar”@ Sunil’s Study, M – 66, M Block Market, New Delhi

Designer Sunil Mehra has come up with his new collection called “Shringaar” . The collection is based on the theme “Shringaar - the decoration of soul”. The entire collection speaks of the love, purity and eternity between Radha and Krishna.

The collection consists of men’s wear like formal wears, fusion wears and traditional wears. The collection has been divided into two sequences – The White collection in which the designer has kinds like short kurtas with linen trousers, Kurta pyjama, Kurta dhoti, Kurta churidars, Kurta Patiala. As white stands for purity and the designer tends to celebrate the transparency and serenity of Lord Krishna’s love for Radha. With perfect blend and amalgamation of detailing in cuts and silhouettes in fabrics like silk, linen, blended fabrics, matka silk etc designer Mehra tends to make it more wearable this summer.

On the other hand the later sequence is based on colors like peacock blue, turquoise, beige, brown, natural shades – to celebrate the Anand of love between Radha and Lord Krishna. The collection comprises of Kurta Pyjama, trousers with waist coats, suits and other formal wears. The cuts and silhouettes that have been used in the formal wears are slim fits with Nehru collars as option, a bit shorter in length making it more comfortable during summers. The feather weight suits are one of the eye-catching pieces among the range. Moreover the tinted sequence also has Indian wears like Sherwanis and Kurta Pyjamas.

The USP of the designer lies in his use of natural fabrics and his signature motif Lord Krishna. In this dark age of Kaliyuga, where every human heart is wounded and is searching for God and peace, this collection which signifies “Shringaar” by Lord Krishna to Radha, provides a healing touch to our souls, the clothes throb with righteousness, divinity and satisfies our search for Moksha to some extent.
