Google's Siri competitor: 'Google Assistant' coming late 2012
Reportedly, Google is said to be coming up with Siri's competitor this year. The company is believed to be working on artificial intelligence technology - dubbed "Google Assistant" - which is expected to be capable of surpassing the capabilities of Apple's Siri voice assistant.
According to reports, Google plans to come up with its Assistant by the fourth quarter of this year.
It is rumored that "Google Assistant" won't be a standalone app; in fact there are plans to release an API for developers to integrate the same into all sorts of apps, as reported by The Verge, an American technology website, adding this operation is not being managed by the secret Google X Laboratory, instead it is being led by the Android team.
